"Concise Oxford English Dictionary 12th Edition" を注文・・・

    "Concise Oxford English Dictionary"・・・

    以前, British English の辞書として, "Concise Oxford English Dictionary 6th Edition" (1976) と "Concise Oxford English Dictionary 8th Edition" (1990) を入手しました.  American Englishの英語辞典が集め終わったとき, 私が小中高で習った英語 British Englishに少しく関心を持つゆとりができて British English の英語辞典として, 上記の２冊を入手しました. 

    昨夜, Amazonで注文して未着の英語辞典をチェックしているとき,  "Concise Oxford English Dictionary 12th Edition" (2011) が安価に入手できることを知りました. 

    その紹介文に, "100 years after its first publication, the twelfth edition of this world-famous bestseller gives the most up-to-date picture of the English language today.     私が同じ辞書で複数の版を所有しているのは, "Oxford American Dictionary & Thesaurus" と "Oxford American Writer's Thesaurus" と今回注文した "Concise Oxford English Dictionary" だけ・・・. 前二者はすべての版を所有・・・. この２冊だけは, 新しい版がでればその都度購入することにしています.
